The app shares the unique migration stories of Kofi, Anh and Renata, and is tailored to support education materials for schools.

Harmony-Day-Stories- Kofi.jpgThe brief and educational strategy was to develop a mobile application that would help reach the Harmony Day audience, support this years theme ‘Many Stories – One Australia’ and help educate schools and community groups about Harmony Day held on March 21.

The educational strategy approved and supported by the harmony-day-stories-hero2-710x500px.jpgAustralian Curriculum incorporated school lesson plans and activities focused on early childhood, primary and lower secondary students.

Says Sean Pinwill, Applause digital director Sean Pinwill: “Our strategy was to create and deliver three unique Harmony Day Stories using augmented reality (AR) – AR being the harmony-day-stories-hero4-710x500px.jpgperfect digital medium to engage our young audiences and to help support learning through fun and digital technology.

“Through AR our audience can listen to each story, interact with our Harmony Day characters and explore scenes representing the past and present. The stories offer some amazing insights into the journeys people from all over the world have taken to make Australia their home.

Ultimately this app creates a new platform for all ages to discover something new about Harmony Day, our multi-cultural nation and for users to share their own story this Harmony Day.”

The team at Applause Digital is passionate about creating and developing a range of online digital applications for education and other learning activities. Harmony Day Stories is the latest in the set of these fantastic applications being delivered.

In the lead up to Harmony Day on March 21, schools and families are encouraged to download the Harmony Day Stories app. The school lesson plans and activities specifically designed and approved by the Australian Curriculum help teach students of all ages about Harmony Day.

The free Harmony Day Stories Augmented Reality app and activation posters are available from the AppStore or Google Play and is a great way for families to have some fun and to learn about Harmony Day.
