The Glue Society + Revolver’s Watch With Mother comedy show to air on SBS ahead of Halloween
‘Watch With Mother’ the uniquely Australian six-part sketch-horror show created, written and directed by The Glue Society and produced by Revolver, is premiering on SBS2 and SBS On Demand over six nights from Sunday 25th October in the build up to Halloween.
The show has been picked up by SBS as part of its Halloween horror programming. Originally released as a groundbreaking app – this is the first time the series will have aired on TV in Australia.
Described by The Australian on its release as ‘A cross between Wolf Creek and Little Britain’, the show is a deliberately dark piece of entertainment which uses a series of regular sketches and unnerving characters to take the audience on a journey into various haunting yet comic scenarios.
Says Jonathan Kneebone of The Glue Society: “We can think of nothing more likely to keep people awake while they’re waiting for the Australia vs Argentina Rugby World Cup semi-final this Sunday night. The game should be a little less bloody at least.”

So like the League of Gentlemen?
Reminds me of the aftermath of Work in Progress at an agency Inused to work at.
Something different – the Australian advertising community isn’t going to like this.
Funny and clever poster, nice simple idea.

Wow… that’s revolting.
Production companies actually taking creative initiative in the space they are meant to – screen! Awesome stuff guys.
Great you’ve created something adventurous and even innovative…but still wee wee and poo poo jokes…is target 4 to 10 year olds?
This is something i’d expect from an average Award student. Piss poor.
Yes, like The League of Gentlemen, but that wasn’t a sketch show. It had wonderfully developed characters. I wish these guys luck but fear they’ve shoe-horned one genre too many into this idea. Sketch/horror/comedy – choose any two.
love this idea. At least I did when I first saw it at Award 15 yrs ago – even then it was recycled.
This is gross. Now the show is forever associated with piss in my mind. I think I’ll pass on this one.
Jon Burden’s opinion, because he left his name and has won a mountain of awards.
Was about to go to bed then noticed this when flickin through the channels….just a tad corny. Definitely rehashed
