Traction Digital appoints former MassMedia Studios MD Adam Quirk to managing director role
Australia and UK based Digital communications company Traction Digital has today announced the appointment of a managing director – Australia. The role will be filled by former MassMedia Studios managing director, Adam Quirk (left).
Says Benoit Droulez, Traction managing director: “In the last year Traction Digital has successfully added a full suite of services that complement our marketing platform and offer our clients increased return on investment. Adam knows the business and our customers and his appointment will leverage his unique knowledge developed at MassMedia, executing agency services around the Traction platform to deliver leading digital communication solutions.”
Droulez said Traction Digital is on a road of transformation from software as a service (SaaS) company to also offering fully managed performance driven digital communication solutions through a winning combination of specialist services alongside its lifecycle communication platform.
Says Droulez: “Innovation is a constant requirement in the digital space. It was therefore a natural decision to increase the leadership bandwidth to ensure continued innovation in both our services and new platform offering currently in development.”
Commenting on his appointment, Quirk said he was looking forward to taking on an exciting new challenge.
Says Quirk: “This business has such potential and the new performance focused model is set to address the challenge marketer’s face with the use and availability of ever more sophisticated digital tools.”
Quirk said the move provides the opportunity to apply years of data; communications strategy and agency service expertise to use in support of the recently announced investment of the development of the new Traction Digital platform.
Prior to his role at Traction Digital, Quirk was head of Traction Digital’s largest reseller agency working strategically, locally and internationally, with Audi Australia, Cadbury, Unilever, DIAGEO and Foxtel.

Traction was only just merged with Campaign Master last year. Another merger on it’s way perhaps with Massmedia?
What happened to Damian Byrne?
Damian left Traction last year. He has set up a data strategy consultancy.
@Alastair – Massmedia was absorbed into Holler a few months ago
@Alastair, @Grant
Thanks for the interest, I thought I’d chip in for the record since this was sent to me.
Traction started as part of MassMedia Studios back in 2004. The product and team had become self sufficient so we split if off as it’s own entity allowing it to focus and take its own path (like a merge with CM). MassMedia Studios could then focus on being an agency, which was great. The merge into Holler was a good way to scale and extend the skills of both businesses.
So no merge in sight for Traction. Holler (and MassMedia) keep growing.
Damian is alive and well and rockin his own thing as Jane states. Hey mate 🙂
cheers
Adam
