Vinnies set to kick off new ‘Signed Finds Sport’ campaign on Fri, Apr 19 via Y&R Group Sydney
The highly acclaimed campaign Vinnies ‘Signed Finds’ is set to launch round two this year, this time with some of the world’s best sports stars via Y&R Group Sydney.
Set to launch this Friday, Vinnies ‘Signed Finds Sport’ will invite fans across the country to claim signed pre-loved personal items from their favourite Australian and global sports stars and teams.
Fans will be able to follow the clues on the Signed Finds Facebook page and then hit the streets in search of one of the ninety exclusive items, set to be hidden across some of Vinnies 650 shops Australia wide.
Sports stars to watch out for include Shane Warne, Brett Lee, Libby Trickett, Pat Rafter, Rajon Rondo, Tim Cahill, Lucas Neill, Shane Mumford, AFL’s Geelong Cats and the Rugby Union Waratah’s. The full list of names will be revealed on 19 April.
Says Julie McDonald, Vinnies NSW community and corporate relations manager: “We are very excited for sporting fans to get involved with Vinnies Signed Finds. The support we have received from the sporting community has been very overwhelming making this our largest Signed Finds yet.”
Says Julian Watt, executive creative director of Y&R Group Sydney: “The idea worked incredibly well for Vinnies and Aussies in need last year. As an agency, we’re proud of the results and are glad to see this little idea, stepping up once more, this time to sports.”
Says Aden Hepburn, managing director of VML Australia: “We’re really excited to be a part of such a great community campaign, and Signed Finds Sports is going to be even bigger than last year.”
Last year’s Signed Finds campaign won a slew of awards, including George Patterson Y&R Sydney recognised as Australia’s most ‘Effective Agency of the Year’ in 2012. It also went on to win two Gold and three Silver Effies and the campaign totalled 17 awards across the board.

In a world where charity campaigns claim huge results come Canne but are never heard of again come July its nice to see a cool simple idea live on.
Sport is a great next step.
