Writer, comedian and TV personality Anh Do fronts new IGA campaign via Creative Oasis
IGA has launched its new campaign with its new ambassador, Anh Do – writer, comedian and TV personality.
Do has written his memoir “The Happiest Refugee”, starred on TV in “Dancing With The Stars” and is now the new face of IGA.
In an exciting and entertaining campaign, Do will be taking IGA’s key messages to Aussies everywhere. A great Aussie, a local and his honest, warm, friendly personality is what makes Do the perfect representative for the brand.
Says Silvestro Morabito, chief operating officer: “We’re continuing to invest in the future of our brand. We have identified our strengths and real points of difference and we’re taking them to market in a fresh, fun, totally unpredictable way.
“That’s why I’m so enthusiastic about this new work from Creative Oasis featuring Anh Do. It breaks the typical “supermarket” mold and takes the challenge right up to our competitors.”
Says Michele Teague, general manager marketing: “This campaign is further proof of just how committed we are to moving our brand forward. It highlights our real differences, builds on our momentum and brings all of our strengths together in one comprehensive and cohesive campaign. It will surprise and delight our customers while making our competitors sit up and take notice.”
The campaign also features a new music track by Australian Aria Winner, Ben Lee, “Catch my disease” with the memorable lyrics “And that’s the way I like it” which perfectly reflects IGA’s positioning of ‘How the locals like it”. Lee actually recorded a new version specifically for the campaign in Sydney during his current Australian tour.

I think it’s great that the supermarket category are finally trying to make their ads more interesting, and this is another push in the right direction.
Overall this one’s got a warm smile and talks to the local promise of IGA – so no it doubt ticks that box on the brief. But the music selection of Ben Lee’s ‘Catch my disease’ was an unfortunate call. The name should have maybe been a tip on why using it would be a bad idea.
Good Anhya mate.
I like it…simple, easy to watch and a nice difference from the big two…a job well done. Anh Do…and Ben Lee….what’s not to like!
what is the dogs name in the add? pls someone tell me, everytime i watch i still cant catch it
Ditto…it’s a good ad and definitely makes you watch even only so you can catch the name of the dog.
Please someone tell me
Yes, me too! I really need to know the name of the dog.
Is the dogs name “kitchen”??
I’m the same… I try turn the TV up so I can hear it clearer.. It’s meant to be a joke, but no one gets it because we don’t know the dogs name!!!!
I think the dogs name is “catchit” ??
I too would like to know the name of the cute little black dog
Help…I need to know the dogs name….I just cant catch it!!!
hahah just google searched “dogs name on iga ad” and come across this site!! i hear kitchen or kitten….
I email Anh Do’s website and got an answer – dog’s is Kitchen!!!!!
I thought it could have been Kitchener . I still can’t hear it properly. I am obviously not alone here…
I think I heard the dog’s name as” Kitchener”!…..if so, it’s a rather funny play on words
Howdy all – yup, dog’s name is Kitchen. I didn’t have pet insurance before he got chewed on by another dog. He’s named after the new kitchen I can no longer afford.
So glad you cleared up that dog’s name, been driving me crazy. Many others too I gather.
Great ad, especially that sensational good sort at the end, with Kitchen! She should be doing all the ads!
