SP Shot 1-thumb-400x166-89969.jpgSydney agency 18 Feet & Rising has picked up a gold world medal at the 2013 New York Festivals Film and Television awards for its MTV EXIT music video featuring Canadian band Simple Plan. The video was released to highlight the issue of human trafficking and child exploitation.

Set to the track ‘This song saved my life’, the video tells an emotionally charged story of children trapped and forced to work in a textiles factory somewhere in Asia. All hope looks lost until a young child worker hatches a plan.

This year, the grand award was given to the Olympic opening ceremony coverage by NBC & BBC networks.
