Y&R Sydney executive CD David Joubert departs for creative partner role at DDB Sydney
After nine years with Y&R, David Joubert, ECD at Y&R Sydney has joined DDB Sydney as creative partner.
Joubert first joined Y&R Brisbane in the role of art director from South African creative powerhouse TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris in July 2008, following stints with Leo Burnett in Asia.
In 2010, Joubert transferred to the Sydney office and in 2011 was promoted to the role of creative director.
Joubert, along with fellow ECD Bart Pawlak were promoted to joint-ECD roles in July 2014, filling the role left after the departure of Julian Watt in November 2013.
Y&R Sydney has appointed creative duo Jeremy Hogg and Richard Shaw in the associate creative director roles to fill the gap left by Joubert.

Leaving an ECD role to take up what is essentially a CD role at DDB Sydney.
Creative Partner is just a title. Enjoy the new sweat shop.
Dave will do great things at DDB with Ben and Tara at the helm.
A bloody good man, a bloody good talent.
At least there’s some good clients at DDB he can sink his teeth into. Maccas, VW to name a few. Patts Sydney is a ghost town and has been for years.
What a legend. Congrats Dave! Go kick some ass!
Well done Dave and DDB.

Welcome, Mr Joubert. Getting out before he stuck the knife in is a smart move.

Terrific news DJ. A great opportunity.
Too many swing dicks for Nagy’s liking I’d say. You’re best outta there anyway. Best.
